Nine Foolish Words
Dance, Dog, Pack, Tatters, High, Fool, Leap, Brash, Optimism
Dance on, you of the brash ingenuousness!
Teeter in your tatters on the very edge of your cliff
Teasing the heights from your insouciant impermeability.
You pack the entire hobo's bundle of your lightly-lived past,
Safely secured where you need not regard it.
Funny thing. What you forget rides your back.
The caution of experience dogs your footsteps...
Yap, yap, oh, them again!
Leap past the admonishing jaws, soar high.
Optimism carries you into the void....
Plop!
I guess there is a reason you fool yourself that you can actually fly...
After all, the path is down THERE....
Just need to make yourself a little bit lighter....
Or maybe decide that the path is there for a reason.
Maybe the journey is actually the destination...?
