Hi Arwen! I really like your spread! Gratitude is something I deliberately focus on every day. I think I'll try your layout, but with maybe slightly fewer cards. Question... where did you put card #11? I didn't see it in your diagram.
And I'm curious as to why you pulled the Emperor out of the deck?
What a beautiful deck this is! I'm off to go research it more. I don't remember having seen it before!
Hi! Just wanted to let you know I tried a variation of your spread. I scaled it WAY down, however, to a total of 5 cards. I just did 2 cards for what I'm grateful for (physically and spiritually) and another 2 cards for where I may be overlooking due gratitude (again, physically and spiritually). Then I did the Quint card to sum up for a final "gratitude" message. It worked out really well and made perfect sense! So though I chopped it up quite a bit, I thank you for the inspiration! :)
Oh, and when I do a Quint card, I actually number the Courts and include them. I don't feel comfortable leaving them out, since they are a part of it! :) ...Just what works for me.
This looks like a really juicy spread, Arwen, and I'm looking forward to trying it out. I especially like the idea of placements for the things we're overlooking. I agree w/Kiki that it might be helpful to have a scaled-down version too. Thanks and Blessings!
I love this idea -- but I know myself too well, I'm a lazy-butt and would probably avoid doing the spread unless it was scaled down. However, I really WANT to try it, so I just need to make the time!!! Thank you -- I love your blog.
One possibility for the second layer of cards, since it represents what we're not seeing, is to pull those cards (7 - 12) from the bottom of the deck rather than continuing from the top of the deck after having pulled the cards for the first layer. I do this with various spreads that have a position(s) for what is not seen, what's going on under the surface, etc. And I find that the results using this method can be quite interesting.

Thanks for sharing this inspiring spread! :)
Kiki
11 should go where 12 goes so that they layer as well. :) I'll try to redo the graphic tonight if I can. Good catch!
Oh! I pulled the Emperor out because he was the first Quintessence card for that first layer. :)
Ah okay! I missed what you wrote about the Emperor for the first Q-card. :) Not *quite* all awake yet this morning. LOL!! :)

Kiki, thanks! I may try that scaled down version.
Joanna, I just love the idea of a "juicy" spread. Ha! Do let me know what you think of it!
'Nette! Go for it! Even if you do three cards, one for known, one for unknown and then add them together for the quintessence!
HiC....ooooh! I love this thought! I will try it. :) Thank you so much!
