If this was true, you wouldn't be flooded with decks...
MYTH #11: You must have set rituals to read properly.
They also help get in the right mindset and separate the mundane from the arcane, so to speak. Less distractions from the rest of life.
MYTH #12: There is only one way to interpret the cards.
But wouldn't that make it so much more dull? The multitude of shades of meaning are the colour of life! If they only had one meaning, they couldn't connect with as much.
I found my way over here from Catstarot, and I'm so glad I did. I purchased my first deck about 7 years ago when I left the Christian church. Being self-taught, I appreciate your post for several reasons...including the support for intuitive interpretation AND that the cards provide simply a 'snapshot' of a potential future based upon current conditions.
The tarot (and other oracle cards I use) are a great tool for personal growth :)
Kiss (what do you like to be called by the by?)grin on the deck one. It might be a GOOD one for some of us (points finger at self)
Grace, thanks so much for coming by! I'm very glad you found me! :)
Batshua (love that name btw), I have shared some spreads that are about introspection. If you click the tag "spreads", you will find them. The one that comes to mind is my Meadow Spread.

I would recommend using the cards for self-introspection rather than divination. I have spreads specifically designed for that use.
Care to share any of those spreads with us, or did I miss a previous post on the matter?
